Climatic changes during lockdown

Climatic changes during the lockdown

Lockdown started in India on March 22, 2020. It prolonged over a long period due to continuous increase in Corona spread rate. Even now there are a lot of restrictions. Everyone is worried about being inside their home within the four walls and everyone’s missing the travels and the usual environment they used to spend their time with.

Actually this lockdown has made the environment more good causing lesser pollution compared to earlier. The main source of pollution earlier was automobiles, industries, etc., after lockdown, pollution from vehicle mobility and industries have decreased noticeably. Nature is the only thing that refreshes the soul and mind. It's the time to save the earth and make it green as much as we could.

Lets take a look at a list of positive impact due to this lockdown:

1.     Improvement in air quality especially in Delhi. Delhi, as we know, is the most polluted place in the world, according to reports from the WHO in 2015. The air quality earlier was around 200AQI, at times it would reach a peak value of  around 900AQI. This huge amount of pollution in air was stated to be 25% beyond unsafety levels.Thankfully, now, after lockdown, it has gone down to 20AQI (Air Quality Index).

Given a clear thought, Pandemic has actually turned the entire world to a new version of it. Among these outcomes, few are short-termed and few are Long-termed. Even in this distress, India had to face several hurdles with China border issues, Grasshoppers attacking food crops and so on. Our human activities have already caused the nature enough destruction, now nature has started to replenish itself. It  is time we support and grow a healthy environment for our future generations. Let us all together work with HUMANITY and hope for a better world.
